Welcome to Goals. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Goals mobile application ("App") operated by Principal LA ("we," "our," or "us").

By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation
• Use automated means to access the App without permission
• Share your account with others
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App's source code

4. User Content

Your Content

• You retain ownership of the plans, tasks, and content you create
• By using the App, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content as needed to provide the service
• You are responsible for the content you create

AI-Generated Content

• The App uses AI to provide planning suggestions
• AI suggestions are provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy
• You are responsible for reviewing and using AI suggestions appropriately
• Do not rely on AI suggestions for critical decisions without independent verification

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

• Basic features are available for free
• Free tier has usage limits that may change

Premium Subscriptions

• Premium features require a paid subscription
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Subscription terms and pricing are displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled

Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies
• We do not provide direct refunds for app store purchases

6. Intellectual Property

• The App and its original content (excluding user content) are owned by Principal LA
• Our trademarks, logos, and brand features may not be used without permission
• The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimers

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components

9. Limitation of Liability

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Principal LA and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your user content

11. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in the App settings
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting updated Terms in the App
• Displaying a notice when you open the App
• Emailing you (for significant changes)

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@principal.la to attempt informal resolution.

Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles, California.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in class actions.

15. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us
• Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them freely
